| Job Description: |
* Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure.
* Managing email, anti spam and virus protection.
Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
* Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers.
* Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and management problems.
* Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards.
* Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
* Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet.
* Basic understanding of legacy systems and related connectivity issues.
* Performs pre-production audits to ensure standards compliance.
* Performs Server hardware support, OS platform support, and root cause analysis.
* Assists deputy manager to analyze and provide innovative system engineering solutions.
* System performance, hardware, software, and related troubleshooting.
* Identifying, investigating and repairing system faults.
* Common Operating system errors, (MAC O/S, Windows 95 thru XP - all versions).
* Also provides break/fix support to all hardware located at the corporate office in El Segundo. Will assist IT with surveys, upgrades and other roll-outs on an as-needed basis.
* Monitoring network usage.
Note: This is a permanent night shift job i.e. 8.00 pm to 5.00 am |
